If anyone has not been keeping up with Metalsucks as of late, then this may interest you to do so. For the past couple of weeks the crew over yonder at Metalsucks has compiled a list of what they consider to be the Top 25 Modern Metal Guitarists. If the comment sections there have done anything effectively over there, it's certainly been stimulating many heated debates (whether they're actually smart debates is entirely a different story).
From my perspective, however, these kinds of lists are always fun just to see what others think. People have to remember that the level of subjectivity on a list like this is so high that it's pretty much useless, and rather stupid, to get angry over. So with that in mind, the list has been revealed all the way up to #2. #1 will be announced next week sometime so be sure to check it out!
While I am here saying that people shouldn't get angry or too heated about this list, I will admit I was rather frustrated with one placement.....John Petrucci ranked at #9?! Someone explain to me how he didn't at least make the top five? Oh well, the Metalsucks team will unfortunately have to suffer the consequences of what happens when John Petrucci gets angry. :)
